Fish and some shellfish rich in Omega 3 and 6 help maintain good cardiovascular health. In addition, fish contains low levels of cholesterol, which allows it to be a good alternative to replace meat since it contains less saturated fat and a wealth of polyunsaturated fats that favor the health of the arteries.
On the other hand, the fact that fish contains low amounts of saturated fat and little cholesterol makes it a food that provides various nutrients and is not fattening. There are even studies that indicate that the population that consumes more fish and less meat has a lower risk of obesity and diabetes.
Sea Fish is also easily digestible compared to red meat, as its protein concentration is lower and it contains less connective tissue. Therefore, it is recommended for anyone with some type of gastrointestinal problem.
The importance of Omega 3
